All the following awards are local-level awards and are only eligible for the students who registered with Washington Metro Chapter.
Math (4th ~ 11th grade): Starts at 14:00 EST (both Online and Offline available)
1st place for each grade: Yumi Hogan (former First lady of Maryland State) Award
2nd place for each grade: KSEA Washington Metro-Chapter President Award
3rd place for each grade: KSEA Washington Metro-Chapter Vice-president Award
Physics (9 ~ 12th grade): Starts at 12:30 EST (Offline only)
1st place for each grade: Susan Lee (Maryland Secretary of State) award
2nd place for each grade: KSEA Washington Metro-Chapter President Award
3rd place for each grade: KSEA Washington Metro-Chapter Vice-president Award
Science (3 ~ 12th grade): Starts at 16:00 EST (offline only)
This is a team competition with an experiment. The award will be given as a team
1st place: Washington-DC Consul-general of Republic of Korea award
2nd place: KSEA Washington Metro-Chapter President Award
3rd place: KSEA Washington Metro-Chapter Vice-president Award
Washington Metro Chapter is recruiting volunteers to support NMSC events. We encourage undergraduate and graduate students to apply for this opportunity. All the volunteers will get service awards under the name of Chief Judge Chung Pak ( Chief Administrative Law Judge of the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings)
Washington Metro Chapter Local Award 정보 드립니다
안녕하세요 재미한인 과학자협회 (KSEA)에서 수학과학 경시대회 (NMSC)를 개최합니다.
일시는 4월 15일 이고요 장소는 KSEA Headquarter 건물 (1952 Gallows Rd, Vienna VA 22182) 입니다. NMSC는 전국대회 입니다. 따라서 전국 3위 안에 들 경우 1등은 500불, 2등은 300불, 3등은 200불의 상금을 수령하게 되며 5월에 있는 한화 올림피아드의 출전 자격을 얻게 됩니다. 한화 올림피아드에서 입상하게 되면 한화그룹 장학생으로 선정될 기회를 얻게 됩니다. 뿐만 아니라 저희 Washington Metro Chapter에서는 Local 지역 학생들의 동기부여를 위하여 local level award를 따로 수상을 하고 있으며 올해부터 Local award의 scale을 키워보자는 취지로 special award를 지정하였습니다. 전국 레벨의 상을 받지 못하더라도 Washington Metro Chapter 내부에서 순위권에 들 경우 다음과 같은 상을 받게 됩니다.

물리경시대회 (9학년 ~ 12 학년): 12:30 시작 오프라인만 가능

대학생 혹은 대학원생의 경우 행사 진행을 돕는 Volunteer로 참여할 수 있으며
Volunteer로 참여하는 모든 학생들에게 박충기 판사님 (메릴랜드 행정 대법원장) 명의의 봉사상을 수여할 생각 입니다. 대학생 혹은 대학원생 자녀분을 가지신 분들은 volunteer로서의 참여를 독려해주시면 감사하겠습니다.
뿐만 아니라 저희 Chapter에서는 시험 당일에 학부모님들을 위한 이벤트도 마련하고 있습니다. 박충기 판사님 (현 메릴랜드 행정 대법원장)께서 자녀분들을 위한 인턴쉽 프로그램 소개 및 상담을 직접 해주신다고 하니 정말 좋은 기회가 될 수 있을 것 같습니다. 학부모들끼리 커피 한잔 하면서 친목을 다질 수 있는 자리도 마련할 예정이니 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.
